Temperatures in Europe have increased at more than twice the global average over the past 30 years – the highest of any continent in the world. As the warming trend continues, exceptional heat, wildfires, floods and other climate change impacts will affect society, economies and ecosystems, according to a new report from the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

Es geht hier also um nichts Geringeres als einen neuen Marshallplan für das 21. Jahrhundert. Eine Generationenaufgabe, mit der jetzt begonnen werden muss.

Wir brauchen dringend Nachbesserungen bei den Vorschlägen der Expertenkommission zu Gas und Wärme. Eine Gaspreisbremse muss sozial orientiert und sozial gerecht ausgestaltet werden und bei der Entlastung bei Energiekosten muss dringend nachgebessert werden.

Es ist unbedingt erforderlich, alles zu unternehmen, um sicher durch den kommenden Winter zu kommen. Die Gaspreiskrise wird Deutschland jedoch bis mindestens in das Jahr 2024 hinein stark fordern.
